These terms govern your use of AI Business Lens (the "Service"), operated by Margin of Error Media LLC ("we," "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
AI Business Lens is a daily brief of AI-related stories with teaching materials for educators across disciplines, and study materials for students and other readers. Reading the brief is free for everyone. Generating materials requires an account, and beyond a limited free allowance, a paid plan. Instructor plans and student and reader plans differ in price and in the formats they include. No proof of enrollment is required for a student and reader plan. Saving stories takes a free account, and saved stories stay with the account after they leave the brief. A generation is counted the same way whatever it is built from: a story on the brief, a saved story that has left it, or several saved stories at once. The free allowance and the monthly allowance both apply to all of these. We keep the link and our own summary of a saved story, not the article, so whether materials can still be built later depends on the publisher's page remaining publicly available. We may decline to build from a source that has asked us not to use its work. Materials you generate are kept in your account so you can reopen and export them, up to the most recent 200, and you can remove any of them. Topic alerts, which email you when a new story mentions a word or phrase you chose, are part of a paid plan. They pause if the plan lapses and resume when it returns. Every paid plan carries a monthly allowance of generations. As of this version it is 150 a month for instructor plans and 60 a month for student and reader plans, counted per calendar month and shown in your account. We may raise it on request, and we will post any change to the allowance here before it takes effect.
You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current. You must be able to form a binding contract to subscribe.
Instructor plans and the teaching formats are for people who teach, train, or lead workshops. That includes university and school faculty, corporate and professional trainers, and independent facilitators. Choosing the instructor role or buying an instructor plan requires you to confirm that this describes you and that you are not taking a course that uses these materials. We do not ask for proof of employment or appointment, because a corporate trainer often has neither an institutional address nor a public faculty page. We rely on what you tell us. If you confirm something that is not true, we may end your access and cancel the subscription, and a refund for the unused part of the term is at our discretion. Student and reader plans are open to anyone, and no proof of enrollment is required for them.
Do not misuse the Service. In particular, do not attempt to breach security, scrape or overload the systems, resell access, or use the Service to violate the law or the rights of others.
Summaries, the line on why a story matters, the weekly synthesis, and any teaching or study materials are produced by an AI model from the article. They are not written or reviewed by the publisher, and they are not the article. They are a starting point for your own review, not a substitute for reading the original, and they may contain errors or omissions. You are responsible for checking any material before you rely on it, teach from it, submit it, or share it, and for following your institution's rules on the use of AI-generated material. We make no warranty that generated content is accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose.
The brief points to articles published by others. For each story we show the headline, the name of the publication, a short summary in our own words, and a link to the original. We do not reproduce article text, and we link only to sources a reader can open without paying. We do not control that content and are not responsible for it. Publication names appear only to say where a story came from. No publication is affiliated with the Service or endorses it.
A publisher or writer who would rather not be included can ask for a story or a whole site to be removed, with no conditions, as described on our page for publishers. We act on such requests promptly.
The Service, its design, its selection and arrangement of stories, and its original text are owned by Margin of Error Media LLC. Materials you generate are yours to use for your own teaching, study, or work. You may not resell them or offer them as a competing service. Article content remains owned by its publishers and is subject to their terms. If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights, write to hello@aibusinesslens.com and we will respond promptly.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Margin of Error Media LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate these terms or to protect the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Washington will have exclusive jurisdiction.
