Predicting molecular impacts for billions of human genome mutationsGoogle DeepMind has introduced AlphaGenome Atlas, an AI platform featuring a predictive catalog of roughly nine billion potential single-letter DNA substitutions across the human genome. By modeling both protein-coding genes and non-coding regulatory regions, the system pairs predictions of molecular effects with a Variant Impact Score to prioritize critical mutations. This petabyte-scale resource aims to accelerate scientific understanding of genetic disease drivers and pave the way for novel therapeutics.
