Perceiving surroundings and determining high-level actionsWhile advancements in artificial intelligence allow humanoid robots to perceive environments and plan actions, deploying these machines alongside humans is constrained by electromechanical hardware limits. Translating high-level AI decisions into physical motion requires humanoids to carry their own motors, power electronics, sensors, and functional safety systems across dozens of articulated joints under strict space and weight constraints. Consequently, the next breakthroughs in robotics depend heavily on tightly coupled electrical and mechanical joint integration rather than algorithm development alone.
THE TEACHING ANGLE
