Serving as workplace assistants that receive monetary rewards based on visual appearanceIn a virtual reality experiment, workers paid a female-presenting AI agent 10.25 percent less money than an identical male-presenting agent. The findings show researchers that human workplace biases transfer directly to interactions with artificial collaborators.
