Real-time endoscopic image stitching and automated target navigationResearchers at ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich developed a magnetically guided, flexible robotic fetoscope designed to improve laser surgery for twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS). The platform stitches endoscopic images into a real-time panoramic map and enables automated navigation to targeted placental vessels, demonstrating fourfold higher precision than conventional rigid instruments during in vivo testing on a pregnant ewe.
