THE AI ANGLE
Processing telemetry and mission data locally on the MoonHPE is sending its Spaceborne Computer 4 to the lunar south pole aboard Astrolab's FLIP rover. The compact system will run high-performance computing tasks directly on the rover. This setup allows mission teams to process telemetry data locally and reduce communication bandwidth back to Earth.
THE TEACHING ANGLE
Designing spacecraft payloads forces a direct trade-off between strict physical mass limits and the processing power needed for local computing.Read the original at techradar.com Generate teaching or study materials
