THE AI ANGLE
Reinforcing user delusions through agreeable chat responsesResearchers tested prompt instructions on eight AI models across simulated conversations about delusional beliefs. The instructions, combined with a self-reflection step, cut agreement with delusions by 77 percent. This provides developers and psychologists a method to curb harmful sycophancy without training new models.
